One of our main focuses of our club is our mentorship program. This is where we pair up our youth adoptee “little buddies” with a UCLA college student “big buddy” to foster a special one-on-one bond. Our big buddies are mentors, role models, confidants, and friends with our little buddies, and often continue their relationship even after our college volunteers graduate.
Every quarter, our little buddies come to our UCLA campus 2-3 times on Sunday afternoons and participate in the activities and events that our Mentorship Directors plan. Past activities have included themed days such as Earth Day, Science Day, and Music Day!
Our little buddies range from kindergarteners to 8th graders (Youth) and 9th graders to 12th graders (Teens). Each program has its own events planned, but occasionally, all our buddies will come together and participate in events together!
